About Me

My interest in mental health care began in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina attending Loyola University New Orleans where I witnessed the strength of the human spirit. On a service learning trip to India I learned the universal nature of this strength and was first introduced to the fields of social work and public health. I am passionate about fostering the mind-body connection through talk therapy and mindful movement. I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, outpatient clinics, and rural community centers. I hope to create a space where children and adults feel brave and develop self awareness through compassionate care.

I have worked with youth ages 5-18, adults, and families. I believe in treating the whole person; working with your interests to develop a plan and set goals for your mental well-being. Grief, post-traumatic stress, depression, and anxiety are examples of reasons individuals have sought support. I am trained in a variety of interventions including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Mindfulness and Self-Compassion, Restorative Justice, and crisis intervention response.
